Making A Short Film – Late Return Fee

Elfenshot Films and Connected Libraries at Bunjil Place, Narre Warren combined to put together a filmmaking workshop over four, three hour sessions on four consecutive weekends in January 2024. Called ‘Making A Short Film’, we had a dedicated bunch of new filmmakers all willing to get stuck in and get the cameras rolling.

We went over all of the facets of production, from identifying the elements of a story, through the roles on set, helping actors, principal photography, editing, post techniques, as well as what to do with a film once it’s complete.

This was our first workshop and it was a lot of fun. We are pleased to have met a host of new people from a myriad of backgrounds, who all share a common interest in filmmaking.

We came up with a 75 second film called ‘Late Return Fee’, with Annika, Makayla, and Sam all featuring in front of the camera.
